Your marriage may have been a nightmare,
but your divorce doesn’t have to be.

Family Law Litigation and Appeals:
Divorce, Parentage, Parenting Plans, Removal, Support, Property division and debt allocation, enforcement of Court Orders, and Mediation (all civil cases).
As a Certified Mediator, Attorney Christine Ann Takata will provide neutral and productive guidance in cases ranging from straightforward dispute resolution to complex matters involving child custody, property division, high-asset divorce, support, prenuptial negotiations, and grandparent visitation.
Why Mediation?
Mediation can be the most effective elixir to treat an irretrievably broken marriage or any other relationship. It is more than just a dispute resolution method; it is an opportunity for parties to hash out their differences and resolve them in a non-adversarial environment.
Mediation allows the parties to decide what their futures will look like while assisting them in communicating their needs to each other. It keeps the terms of the divorce (or other relationship) between the parties, without interference from outsiders, which vastly increases the likelihood that both parties will voluntarily abide by said terms. Mediation is also far less costly than contested litigation and/or appeals.
How Does Mediation Work?

Attorney Christine Ann Takata is a trained professional mediator, skilled in advanced dispute resolution. The mediator's goal is to meet with both parties in an informal setting to determine the issues and come to a joint resolution that will be fair and workable for both parties and their families. This is a voluntary process and completely confidential. You will be making your own decisions as to the outcome.
